Code of Ethics

JPAIR Institutional Research adheres to the guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and upholds the highest standards of ethical research and academic publishing.

Code of Ethics for Authors

• Manuscripts must represent the author's original, unpublished work and must not be under review or published elsewhere.
• Authors must comply fully with JPAIR’s Guide for Authors regarding formatting, style, and submission requirements.
• Manuscripts should be free from plagiarism, falsification, and duplication; the language should be clear, grammatically correct, and properly proofread.
• Proper and full citation of others’ work is mandatory.
• Authors should suggest at least three qualified reviewers who have no conflicts of interest and who have not directly contributed to the research; however, the editorial team reserves the right to select reviewers independently.
• Authorship must be limited to individuals with a significant intellectual contribution to the study; contributions must be explicitly stated.
• Correspondence will be handled through the corresponding author, who is responsible for keeping co-authors informed and for meeting all editorial deadlines.
• Research must be conducted ethically, with appropriate approvals and adherence to applicable standards.
• If errors or ethical breaches are identified after publication, authors should promptly notify the editorial office of the correction or retraction.

Code of Ethics for Reviewers

• Reviewers should only accept assignments when they have appropriate expertise in the manuscript's topic.
• Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline assignments where a conflict exists.
• Reviews must be conducted impartially, in a timely manner, confidentially, and with constructive feedback aimed at improving the quality of research.
• Reviewers should respect the double-blind review process to minimize biases.
• Manuscript content must not be used for personal gain or disclosed except for review purposes.

Code of Ethics for Editors

• Editors are responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of published content.
• Decisions on manuscripts are made solely on academic merit without discrimination based on personal or demographic attributes.
• Editors must ensure the confidentiality of manuscripts and protect the identities of authors and reviewers.
• Editors oversee the peer review process, ensuring timely, fair, and ethical evaluation.
• Editors should provide authors with transparent decisions, including reviewers’ comments.
• Any suspected misconduct in research or publication is to be investigated thoroughly and fairly.

Responsibilities Regarding Research Ethics and Institutional Compliance

• Authors are expected to ensure that their research involving human subjects complies with all relevant national and local ethical regulations and standards applicable to their institution or country.
• It is acknowledged that authors’ affiliated institutions maintain proper documentation of research protocols, ethical approvals, and data, which should be available for review if requested.
• The responsible dissemination of research findings is paramount; data and results must be reported accurately, without distortion, suppression, or selective reporting.
